• General rule of thumb: choose the tip diameter based on the size of the solder pad and the accessibility of the PCB itself.

     Tips to make the tip last longer:
         - Keep the soldering iron tip coated with a layer of solder at all times.
         - Do not leave the soldering iron to idle at higher temperature range for an extended period.
         - Coat a layer of solder after cleaning, and before turning OFF the soldering station.
